KDEM - Energy consumption meter

KDEM-3P LCD is 3-phase meter and KDEM-1P LCD is 1-phase meter. We have selected both products to fulfil the market requirements and meet the current trends; KDEM energy consumption meters comply with EU directive requirements and have MID certification. 

What exactly does this mean?
By the decision of the Parliament and Council of the European Union on 31 March 2004, the Measuring Instruments Directive, commonly known as MID (2004/22/EC) was introduced. MID belongs to the group of New Approach Directives implementing the conformity assessment system, replacing - in case of measuring instruments - the existing system of legal metrological control concerning the type approvals and initial verification. This is another EU legal solution that supports the free movement of goods within the EU. However, it was not the only reason for the introduction of the MID. The regulations introduced by the MID Directive abolished national systems of legal metrological control and introduced a single system based on a conformity assessment system (the transition period ended on 29 October 2016). Therefore, it is vital that newly marketed products in the EU obtain MID certification. Certified products can be used in installations without additional legalisation documents (they are only subject to conformity assessment).
Both models of IDEAL TS by Kanlux energy consumption meters, KDEM-3P LCD T11332 and KDEM-1P LCD T11331 obtained the aforementioned MID certification.

What are the characteristic features of our meters?
The KDEM-3P LCD is a device used to monitor the energy consumption of a three-phase wiring system in commercial and industrial applications. It measures and displays active power consumption (kWh). The meter uses the direct measurement method 10A(100A). KDEM-3P LCD is compliant with MID (accuracy class B). By equipping the meter with an additional pulse output, it is possible to remotely count the energy consumption. The meter is designed for installation on DIN rails (TH35) and factory sealed. In addition, it is possible to seal the terminal cover for the power wires. KDEM-3P LCD has a 6+2 (A) digital display and 3 LEDs indicating the phase load (F). Additional LED indicates pulse output status (E - measurement 400imp/kWh). The pulse output itself is terminals 22/23.

Basic parameters of KDEM-3P LCD:
•    Inrush current (mA) - 0.4% Ib.
•    Rated frequency - 50Hz.
•    Power consumption - =<2W/10VA per phase.
•    Pulse Output - 400/kWh.

Technical data:

The second type of meter is the KDEM-1P LCD, which is used to monitor the electricity consumption of a single-phase network in commercial and industrial applications. It measures and displays active power consumption (kWh). The meter uses the 5A(45A) direct measurement method and is MID compliant (accuracy class B). By equipping the meter with an additional pulse output it is possible to remotely measure the energy consumption. The meter is designed for mounting on DIN rails (TH35) and factory sealed. In addition, it is possible to seal the terminal cover for the power wires.
The meter is equipped with a 5+2 (A) digital display. It has an LED that displays power consumption (G). The 2000 imp/kWh pulse output is terminals 20/21.

•    Pulse output (terminals 21&20) - 1000/2000 imp/kWh
•    Power consumption indicator (red LED - flashes when power consumption is active).
